Description

Industrial Engineering consists of designing, managing and improving production and service systems. The philosophy of the career is that “there is always a better way of doing things”, and the goal of the industrial engineer is to find that best way to do things in all the areas in which he works, facilitating the generation of quality products (whether goods or services) and optimizing the use of inputs and resources from a systemic approach of organizations.

What you will learn

The Study Plan consists of 45 subjects corresponding to 167 UV, which they are distributed in the following training areas:

1. Basic sciences and mathematics

includes the scientific training necessary for the understanding of the principles and fundamentals of engineering.

2. Basic engineering

consisting of courses that largely cover the training necessary for the understanding of the process technologies used in the engineering.

3. Humanistic and Social

with which the training of the professional of Industrial Engineering is completed. The topics of integral formation, environment, human rights, gender and violence and ethics are addressed.

4. Industrial Engineering Specialty Areas

The applied engineering courses offer the student trainning in Industrial Engineering. The emphasis is on four fields, .Operations, Quantitative methods, Management system and Finances & Projects.

Quantitative methods

formed by courses with which numerical training is covered necessary for modeling and decision making.

Operations

where the area of planning of products or services is developed, conceptual design and engineering related to the operations and processes necessary for its production, and subsequent distribution and marketing.

Management system

where management skills are developed specifically for resources, quality and systems.

Finances & projects

where topics on general accounting, accounting of costs and economic engineering, likewise, Formulation skills are developed and Project Evaluation are studied.

Technical electives

are a complement to these four areas of knowledge mentioned above. The students could choose the subjects that have the desire to expand their knowledge in the different areas of the field of Industrial Engineering.

Curriculum

Our Labs

Practice in our courses is very important, that is why we have hardware and software equipment to complement theory. Some of the laboratories where our students carry out their practice are:

Schedule

In the first 3 years classes have been scheduled for the morning and afternoon. In the fourth year classes have been scheduled mainly in the afternoon. In fifth grade, classes have been scheduled early in the morning or evening.
